Welcome to Aqua Engineering Systems Ltd Mains water pressure on your private supply

Fed up with poor water pressure from your water supply? Low pressure on the upstairs taps and none at all when the taps are running downstairs? An Aqua Engineering pump set could be the answer.

With most private water supplies what pressure you have depends on where the supply comes from and where the storage tank is located. These days the new generation of combination boilers require higher pressures; we have more domestic appliances and more bathrooms. We all expect more from our water supplies than twenty years ago.

The important thing is to use the right components. On the one hand you need a long life and reliability and other on the other reasonable capital outlay. At Aqua Engineering we think we have the right answers. Aqua Engineering pumps have a robust stainless steel body and impellor, the accumulator has stainless steel flanges and is upright which means that dirt can not build up inside as it does with the horizontal type. The pipework is rust proof plastic or brass, so important with acidic private water supplies and the pressure switch is a well-proven industrial design.

Electrical controls depend on the existing supply. It is important to have your circuit protected by an earth leakage device with pumps where water and electricity are in such close proximity. Aqua Engineering control systems meet the latest electrical standards and the pump is controlled by a contactor through the pressure switch. Do not accept a system where the pump just plugs into a mains socket without a proper starter. Consumption depends on how big your property is but is likely to be around six amps when the pump is running and how often it runs depends on how much water you use but running costs are not great.

All we need is a suitable location for the equipment, an outhouse, utility room or cellar, access to the water supply as it enters the house and a 13 amp electrical supply.
